CamERA ANGELS AND MOVEMENTS

Camera Angles and movements play a key role in making a movie..well a movie.Take a look at the graphics interchange format or what we like to call GIF.As you can see, the camera is at a certain angle to make the character’s expression stand out.Movement also comes into play because the character is actively moving so in order to capture the characters funny singing and dancing, the camera had to be at a low angle while still having to move the camera. In my project with camera angles and movements, i was just the best!(if i do say so myself uh-haha)however, there were some things that confused me a bit..maybe somewhat a lot..yea, i was confused…

Confusions and successes

Practicing these different types angles from high angle, low angle, crane, pan, tilt, reverse, and all that jippedy jazz, i found that these are so amazing!!..amazingly confusing!Yeah i know, i said i was the best however, it takes some time to remember all of these angles because some of look exactly like a camera shot..it’s not.Take the zoom angles for example, the camera zooms inny or zooms outy. On reverse zoom however, it’s as if the camera was zooming out when it was really the camera man.Yeah, pretty crazy right?Even through all this confusion, i was still able to conquer the confuzzling beast and apply these angles to my short film!!

HOW I’M APPLYING THESE AWESOME SKILL TO MY FILM

Since my skills are well over 9000 with the angles iv’e learned, these skills will go perfect in my short film.I plan on using the dolly/track angle to really capture that sense of fear when one of the characters are running or walking like casually.I could use the reverse camera angle to show disbelief if something happens that is shocking to the character or i could use tilt to show an antagonist that is tall and ferocious. There are many skills that i could apply to this film. With the knowledge of the other shots and movements i’ve learned, i believe that the short will have your socks asking “how and where can i see more?”.I believe knowing these certain angles and shots could benefit my short film astoundingly and also make it look as if it were a real movie.Thank for reading this nice little post my froggies!
