Blog number two..THE HORRIFIC CAMERA SHOTS!!!

Well hello again! didn’t expect you to be so interested in blogs.What can i say?i’m like a magnet and you’re the medal…was that funny?maybe?Anywhoot,(yes i meant to spell WHOOT),the things i’ve learned about in Mrs.Cowdens amazing class was camera shots.Camera shots are used to portray a sort of shot or angle that makes you’re beautiful brain go “woooow”.Believe it or not,Even the picture up top is a camera shot/angle.See all camera shots are unique.Take “Birds-Eye view”shot for example.This makes you feel as if you’re a bird that didn’t flap it’s wings…probably doesn’t make sense but its a shot that puts you in a God-like position.(not to far up though.just above the head or a little higher.HOWEVA,there is a shot that make you feel as if you’re a drone or in plane.We call that Aerial shot.Now i know you maybe confused and thinking”How do these shot differ?” or “How are any of the shot different?” Well there are many different ways they differ.Sadly i know from first hand.

CONFUSION

While learning about these amazing shots,Man oh man did i get confused.Yes yes i know,There are only 11 shots but like i said,SOME ARE VERY ALIKE.Of course,Going over the shots were helpful and yea the little quiz we had on naming them based off comic strips were also helpful however,When going outside the classroom and outdoors,I got confuzzled.I couldn’t tell you where establishing shot or long shot was.”ZOO WEE MAMA!”.Through all the confusion and whining,I the master of camera shots,Have conquered the eleven types of shots!!!Still,I had to do a bit of research.

RESEARCH!!!

The research in my opinion was the best way to really get a sense of what shot were really different.I’ve researched all the types of shots and how the examples (Pictures and comic book strips)really helped me look on more easier side of things .I sure did struggle but the more research and comparison to other shots,the differences,even watching little snip-bits from Disney helped and glad I took that opportunity into consideration.Now it’s time that you how my croaky self is going apply these shot to my short film!!! Unless you know you want to stop reading which is ok but,you know there is gonna be some juicy stuff like so juicy it’s juicier than an air-heads gusher..just saying.

HOW IT ALL COMES TOGETHER!!

This is where all the shots come together like power rangers and make your eyes pop out like a Jack N the box!See all these shots are unique but since we only have 2 minutes,some shots*some* might not be in my short film,like Ariel shot.If I had the super power to fly and eat junk while not gaining a single pound life would be spectacular!however,those things aren’t happing anytime soon.So i’m thinking that i have an birds-eye vein at the end or maybe the very beginning. It’s a challenge that may or may not have the best dialog but since I know a majority of the shots,I can tell you that the 2 minute movie might leave you craving more.It may start with a close-up! or extreme close-up!or a medium shot! or maybe none!On the serious side,I’ll be applying the shots i learned onto my movie by researching movies and seeing there two minutes or brain storming ideas on paper.Theres many things i can with the shots i learned and on this adventure to leap toward success you’ll be se-READING me and my process of the movie and other cool and fun things uh haha.Thanks for reading be sure to subscribe or not!!
